Reverberate

About us

Hello! Here at Reverberate we live and breathe agriculture, so you’ll often find us out and about in our wellies. But whilst our roots may be in the countryside, our heads are firmly in your boardroom, ensuring that everything we do helps you meet your objectives.

Our values are simple - we thrive on creativity but not at the expense of good sense; we are passionate, working for the good of your business as if it were our own; and we act with integrity, meaning that we deliver on our promises.

What this means is that we'll offer you practical, down to earth and friendly PR advice that you can trust.

Meet the team

PhilPhilip Gibson - Managing Director

Phil started Reverberate in 2007 having worked in the agriculture and food industries for more than 11 years. Phil studied agriculture at Seale-Hayne and has worked for the NFU, ADAS and leading dairy co-operatives. As well as extensive knowledge of the agricultural industry, he holds a post graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has completed the General Management Programme at Cranfield Business School.

Phil spends his time working with organisations to develop and implement communication and marketing strategies. In reality, this means that he is just as happy hosting a farm walk as he is stood in a boardroom facilitating a planning session.

When he's not working he can be found dreaming about Land Rovers or walking his springer spaniel, Bob, with Mel and their children.

Melanie Gibson - Director

MelMel co-founded Reverberate after a career in the agriculture supply chain. She grew up on a dairy farm in Devon and also studied for a degree in agriculture at Seale-Hayne, where she met Phil.

She has worked for Mole Valley Farmers and Pfizer and has extensive commercial experience. Mel looks after all our HR and financial management as well as supporting the team with client work when required.

Mel is never happier than when she is out on the farm, and can still be found milking cows and driving tractors when extra help is needed at home.

Lauren Chambers - Account Director

Lauren C

Lauren has held PR and communications roles in a range of industries including manufacturing and utilities. She has more than eight years experience in agriculture having worked at a dairy co-operative before joining Reverberate.

Lauren's range of experience, along with her marketing degree from Aston University, post graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and participation in the Agricultural Leadership Programme at Cranfield Business School, mean she consistently delivers effective communication strategies for our clients. Lauren is a people person, and thrives on helping to bring well thought-out strategy to life. Equally, you're just as likely to find her in a pair of wellies getting to grips with a farm case study.

When she's not working, Lauren can be found cooking up a culinary treat in the kitchen, enjoying her home county of Cheshire, or planning her next family holiday.

Emily Ball - Account Director

Emily

Emily has more than 20 years of experience in agricultural communications and brings to the team a combination of effective campaign management, alongside delivery of practical day to day communications activity.

Emily studied at Seale Hayne before a spell in a PR agency and then working for the RABDF. Since then, Emily has spent some 15 years working extensively for AHDB Dairy, both in-house and in freelance roles, as well as for other clients across the agricultural industry. She also spent a year working in the dairy industry in New Zealand and, in 2003, completed her Nuffield Scholarship.

Emily and her husband are partners in a high yielding dairy unit in Staffordshire. Living and working on a dairy farm gives her technical and practical knowledge, as well as a clear understanding of the needs of farmers.

Emily enjoys watching her two boys play rugby, and watching and scoring cricket. She (still!) plays netball for a local team, likes walking and is involved in her local village hall committee.

Lauren Goringe - Account Manager

Lauren G

Lauren brings together a career in PR with her background in agriculture. Living in West Dorset, surrounded by an extensive family network of dairy farmers, Lauren understands the current needs of the industry. And her degree in Language and Communication coupled with her previous work at Duffield's animal feeds means she knows how to engage with an agricultural audience.

With her post graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, her experience enables her to look after all aspects of a client's PR requirements. So one day you might find her writing technical farm stories and another arranging an extensive exhibition programme. Lauren also specialises in video editing.

Lauren is active in her local young farmers club and NFU branches, with the ploughing match season being a firm favourite with her two boys.

James Marshall - Account Executive

James Marshall

James has previously worked as a Marketing Specialist in the publishing industry. Having lived in rural Somerset for most of his life, James has always had a keen interest in farming and the agricultural industry.

James is an experienced freelance writer and has written extensively about agricultural issues, with many of his articles having featured in national magazines, websites and regional newspapers.

With his strong writing skills, marketing experience and interest in agricultural issues, James is a valuable resource to the Reverberate team. James is also a keen cameraman and his expert video production and photography skills are proving a hit with clients.

James loves spending time outdoors and when not at work can often be found cycling, walking or running in the countryside of Somerset and Devon. He is also a rugby enthusiast.

Phil Pell - Graphic Designer

Phil PellPhil joined Reverberate in 2016 as an associate. He has accumulated experience in a number of UK agencies and, further afield, in sunny California. Phil is passionate about creating distinctive and effective design solutions particularly for the food/agriculture, healthcare and charity sectors.

He has worked with companies from big brands such as Samsung, Plan UK, Marks & Spencer, Co-op, NHS and the National Trust through to local start-up companies. Phil revels in a variety of work including print design, such as annual reports and newsletters, branding and digital marketing design.

When he's not in front of a computer screen, Phil enjoys walking his Sprocker, Alfie, cycling and taking pictures with his camera in the Devon countryside. He also loves growing and cooking with an assortment of homegrown fruit and veg.

His down-to-earth and friendly style is a natural fit with the Reverberate team.
