We are delighted that Reverberate has successfully certified as a B Corporation (B Corp), joining a growing movement of companies dedicated to redefining business for the benefit of people and our shared planet.
Becoming a B Corp means we meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. It showcases our commitment to goals beyond shareholder value.
What does this mean?
B Corp Certification currently covers five main impact areas:
- Governance
- Workers
- Community
- Environment
- Customers
The certification process is rigorous. Companies must achieve a score of 80 points in the B Impact Assessment and provide evidence of responsible practices related to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.
Joining a global community
By certifying as a B Corp, we join a global community of more than 8,400 businesses. The B Corp movement is particularly strong in the UK, with over 2,000 companies across various industries, with a number of well-known businesses in the agri-food sector including Innocent Drinks, First Milk, Wildfarmed, Tilda, HelloFresh and Danone all certified.
Beyond certification
In addition to our B Corp certification, we are proud to be part of the Better Business Act—a coalition of over 2,500 businesses campaigning for UK law changes to align companies' long-term interests with those of wider society and the environment. Recent research shows that more than three-quarters of the UK public support this initiative.
Looking ahead
This is an important milestone in our purpose-led journey, but it is not an endpoint. We have much more to do and you will see other exciting developments from Reverberate in the months ahead.
