Our initial focus has been around climate change. We face a climate emergency and so we’ve committed to reducing all our absolute carbon emissions - across Scope 1, 2 and 3 - to net zero by 2030 at the latest – 20 years ahead of the targets set in the Paris Agreement.
In a public commitment to transparency on this issue, we’ve signed up to the UN SME Climate Commitment and the B Corp Climate Collective. In doing so, we are proud to be recognised by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign and join a growing number of organisations around the world that share the same mission. We will report our carbon footprint at least annually on this website, and you can view our results for recent years, as well as the full details of our Climate Pledge in the downloads section below.
But we’re not stopping there. We’re also offsetting all our carbon emissions on an ongoing basis through the use of high-quality carbon credits that meet the requirements of The Carbon Neutral Protocol. We’re pleased to say that means we are a Certified Carbon Neutral® company.
We’ve chosen to support projects that conserve and restore forests around the world, making a positive contribution to stopping global deforestation and supporting forest communities in building sustainable livelihoods, whilst protecting trees and biodiversity.
Of course, we understand that offsetting alone won’t solve climate change, so this won’t slow down our ambition to get to absolute net zero as quickly as we can, but we feel it important to mitigate our climate impact as we #RacetoZero
We are currently developing our broader sustainability approach, with a particular focus on governance, people and community, and we’ll update this page with more information as we have it.
